RN/LPN Respite (PRN)

Description

As a Respite Nurse at ChildServe youll provide one-on-one care to children with special healthcare needs in their homes or community settings. This important role gives families a much-needed break from the demands of daily caregivingwhether theyre attending a siblings event managing personal appointments or simply taking time to recharge. Schedule

Primarily afternoons evenings and weekends. Can be regularly scheduled or as needed.

• Provide one-on-one nursing support in the home or community.
• Interact with the child and participate in fun activities.
• Complete electronic documentation and paper MARS
• Possible skills used:medication administration g-tube nutrition seizure management trach cares etc.

• Current valid RN/LPN license in Iowa
• Valid drivers license with two or fewer violations in the past three years
• Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience working with children with special health care needs preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the assigned work area and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
