This is a player/coach role where the ideal candidate can take on day to day borrowing base tasks and support and coach their direct reports to be successful in their roles.

Responsible for leading a Borrowing Base Analyst Team to review and ensure compliance with borrowing base requirements and ensuring sound collateral practices within the Rural Business . This is a leadership position in the Portfolio Management Team which is accountable for development and implementation of the 1st line credit risk function. They will act as a primary subject matter expert on credit risk and collateral risk (specifically Borrowing Base assets) for the 1st line.

A key aspect will be analyzing data and forming written analysis to senior leaders executives and governing bodies on applicable risks and proposed mitigates from a 1st line of defence perspective.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of borrowing base collateral monitoring aspects of the 1st line credit risk function including implementation of processes tools and systems to identify assess measure manage monitor and report credit risks in the lending portfolio.

• Work with client relationship and loan underwriting teams to provide expertise and guidance on borrowing base collateral structures and monitoring.

• Ensuring adherence to regional and global underwriting and collateral policies to ensure overall risks are identified mitigated and managed within the required framework.

• Support the Monitoring and reporting on developing trends in the agriculture industry and within the loan portfolio and recommend tangible actions to either take advantage of these trends or appropriately manage emerging risks.

• Establish & maintain processes & procedures for Management of the centralized borrowing base and treasury management team to ensure tight monitoring and controls on margined lines of credit.

• With support from Business Operations Risk Develop and implement a quality control and quality assurance function aimed at improving control of risk and providing a feedback loop to management in regard to performance.

• The employee also has broader responsibility for effective time management and organization skills planning coordinating and organizing his/her own work and for supervising and evaluating the work of other employees to ensure effective allocation of the teams resources to meet objectives.

Your Promise to Us:

To be considered for the SVP - Borrowing Base Manager role you must have:

• 10 years experience together with experience managing people.

• Working knowledge of commercial loan structures loan documentation and collateral type and lien perfection strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to travel regionally up to 15%

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $135000.00 - $160000.00

This position is subject to the terms of RAF/Rabobank/RDSs compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location or for other lawful reasons. Further all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to RAF/Rabobank/RDS employees including healthcare benefits 401k matching vacation sick leave parental leave possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
