Summary of position: Responsibility for daily operations of school program for students with significant mental health challenges. Supervise clinical and educational directors maintaining balance between the clinical and educational needs of students and commitment to agency mission. Work directly with students parents staff and collaterals to provide leadership around admissions crisis intervention/behavioral support program development etc. Report to the Senior Vice President of Programs and represent Walker Beacons needs to the senior management and Board of the larger agency. ExperienceRequired: 5 years administrative experience at the high school level. Knowledge of Special Education : Experience as an Educational Team Leader or Special Education Administrator. AbilitiesRequired: Ability to be flexible and work collaboratively. Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and safely. Ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple responsibilities. Ability to access program locations. Must be able to respond to emergencies quickly and safely. Essential functions:1. Oversee day to day operation of Walker Beacon program2. Provide leadership regarding positive behavioral supports risk management student discipline and crisis intervention3. Assure the hiring of appropriate staff and manage personnel issues in collaboration with HR department.4. Provide supervision as assigned and assure balance and coordination of program components.5. Oversee budget and fiscal management in coordination with Senior Vice President of Programs.6. Oversee site management including coordination with facilities manager.7. Oversee student referrals and admissions process in conjunction with Senior Vice President of Programs.8. Oversee Information Technology and Program Improvement initiatives in collaboration with PICT department.9. Assure compliance with DESE regulations and COA standards as well as agency standards and goals.10. Assure appropriate communication with all public school Special Education Departments (this includes assuring proper implementation of IEP process reporting critical incidents to DESE etc.) 11. Assure appropriate parent communication and parent involvement.12. Oversee internal communication management including staff and student manuals maintenance and dissemination of policies and procedures manuals etc.13. Work with Advancement Department as needed regarding fund raising and marketing This includes assuring quality and accuracy of all written material that is disseminated about Walker Beacon. Obtain COO approval on all final written materials.14. Maintain positive relationship with the City of Watertown including the Police Fire and School Department.15. Run staff meetings as appropriate.16. Work with Senior Director of Training to assure appropriate orientation and training for all staff.17. Work with Director and Senior Director of Res-Ed Programs and others as appropriate to develop new programs and/or programming on Watertown Campus.18. All other duties as assigned.
