Firefighter/Paramedic- Certified

Summary

Under general supervision of the Fire Captain perform routine complex and emergency tasks relating to fire suppression fire prevention and emergency medical services according to state local and federal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. (Education will be verified) Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

• Proof of current Florida Firefighter Certificate of Compliance as approved by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards.
• Proof of current licensure in the State of Florida as a Paramedic or Nationally Registered Certification
• High school diploma/GED
• Valid Florida Drivers License
• Birth Certificate EVOC
• Current BLS/HCP and ACLS Certifications
• Current CPAT within 1 year
• Completed Tobacco affidavit

Special Requirement:

All applicants must be non-users of tobacco (any form) for at least one (1) year prior to application remain tobacco free during application process and must retain tobacco free for the entire period of employment as a Firefighter with the City of Riviera Beach. Tobacco free means you have not used cigarettes pipes cigars chewing tobacco snuff vapes or any other type of smoking or smokeless tobacco on or off duty during the tenure of their employment.
