DescriptionOptimal on behalf of its client a leading import organization with a broad network and diverse investment activities is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst based in Athens.
Scope of role:
The Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Analyst will join our finance team and support the CFO in core financial processes including reporting planning and business analysis. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in financial data handling and a strong willingness to grow professionally in a dynamic commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the monthly reporting process by collecting organizing and analyzing financial data (P&L cash flow KPIs)
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes across departments
- Support the preparation of financial reports at company and group level
- Support internal procedures controls and audits in collaboration with external partners (auditors tax advisors banks)
- Contribute to cost monitoring and profitability analysis of commercial activities and real estate investments
- Contribute to business planning and oversee the implementation and performance tracking of plans
- Act as a business partner to commercial teams by providing financial insights and data-driven recommendations
- Participate in improving reporting tools
- Assist the CFO in various strategic and operational responsibilities
Candidate profile:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Mathematics or related field
- 35 years of professional experience in a finance-related role (reporting accounting FP&A controlling)
- Advanced PC literacy with expertise in Excel and ERP systems; familiarity with BI tools is desirable
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a structured problem-solving approach
- Ethical committed results-oriented and a collaborative team player
