Job Description

Were looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Clients Advanced Technology (AT) Supplier Development Engineering team. This high-impact role focuses on implantable devices and delivery systems that transform patient care.

Contract Duration: 6 12 months with a possible extension

Employment Type: W2 (without benefits) No C2C / No Sponsorship

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Leadership:

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and evaluate supplier capabilities.
  • Drive technical excellence and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • Support early builds and commercialization of next-gen medical devices.

Quality & Risk Management:

  • Resolve supplier quality issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure Tier 1 suppliers collaborate effectively with Tier 2 partners.
  • Conduct supplier risk and capacity assessments.

Manufacturing Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to apply lean manufacturing principles.
  • Eliminate inefficiencies and reduce production costs.
  • Manage product phase-in/phase-out strategies with regulatory and clinical alignment.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Align internal teams and suppliers to drive technical solutions.
  • Manage project milestones to ensure smooth product launches.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Engineering/Science 4 years experience OR
  • Masters 3 years experience.
  • Willing to work 80% onsite; up to 20% domestic/international travel.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Six Sigma SPC DMAIC expertise.
  • Catheter manufacturing (cardiovascular/endovascular).
  • CAD tools (ProE SolidWorks); Minitab proficiency.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Background in aerospace is welcome.
