Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to provide leadership and operational support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in overseeing nursing and designated patient care services within our hospital organization. This role is integral to ensuring the delivery of high-quality safe and evidence-based nursing care.
The Nurse Manager will assist in the planning coordination implementation and evaluation of nursing practice at the unit level. This role assumes 24/7 accountability for assigned clinical areas and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice supporting staff development clinical competency and optimal resource utilization.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the CNO in strategic and operational initiatives related to nursing care and patient services
Provide direct oversight for clinical staff performance patient safety and quality standards
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal clinical policies
Evaluate and enhance clinical workflows to improve patient outcomes and staff efficiency
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Maintain effective communication with staff leadership and patients to promote a positive care environment
Required: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred: Advanced certifications relevant to clinical specialty
Required: Associates or diploma degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelors or Masters degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
Required: Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting including experience as a unit manager full-time charge nurse or in a related supervisory role
Demonstrated success in leading teams managing clinical operations and improving patient care outcomes
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
Operational and critical thinking ability
Commitment to professional development and team engagement
Ability to serve as a clinical role model and advocate for nursing excellence
