Job Description
Position Title: Registered Nurse Emergency Department (Traveler)
Department: Emergency Department
Location: Athena Medtech Rhode Island

Shift: Monday to Friday Combination of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts

Shift Time: 15:00 07:30

Weekly Hours: 40
Athena Medtech is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with Emergency Department experience to join our clinical team. This traveler role requires proficiency in emergency care with a strong emphasis on OB experience. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications-
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Emergency Room nursing experience

Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Rhode Island

Certifications (Required):
-
BLS (Basic Life Support)
-
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
-
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
-
NIH Stroke Scale Certification
-
-
Other Requirements:
-
COVID-19 vaccination required

OB (Obstetrics) experience is mandatory

Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment planning implementation and evaluation)

Monitor and document patient condition and responses to treatment

Serve as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary care

Accurately carry out physician and nursing orders

Participate in the discharge planning process collaborating with patients families and the healthcare team

Provide education and emotional support to patients and families

Maintain clinical competencies and certifications necessary for emergency and OB care
