Job Description
Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist
Department: Pharmacy
Organization: Athena Medtech
Athena Medtech is seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Department. This full-time position follows a 7-on/7-off rotating evening schedule providing an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment committed to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
Work Schedule-
Shift Timing: 4:00 PM 2:30 AM (Monday to Friday)

Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Rotation:

7 days on 7 days off

Shift hours: 4:00 PM 2:30 AM with the final two days of each rotation extended to 3:30 AM to achieve full-time (72 hours) status

Rotation begins every Wednesday at 4:00 PM and ends the following Tuesday

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant pharmacy experience in a clinical or hospital setting
-
License/Certification: Must hold a current and active pharmacist license in State (or eligible for reciprocity)

Review and verify medication orders to identify prevent and resolve actual or potential drug-related issues

Recommend formulary alternatives in collaboration with healthcare providers

Accurately compound and dispense medications for patient administration

Provide clinical drug information and education to medical staff and patients

Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to optimize medication therapy

Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and support staff

Participate in educational initiatives including serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students

Float as needed to meet departmental coverage requirements

Deliver effective and timely patient counseling on medication usage and safety

Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams

Proficiency in documentation and regulatory compliance

Ability to manage workload independently during overnight shifts
