SLP responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents with speech language cognitive and swallowing disorders

  • Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions aimed at improving communication swallowing safety and cognitive function

  • Accurately document therapy sessions and resident progress in compliance with regulations

  • Educate residents families and staff on communication strategies and therapy goals

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive coordinated care

  • Provide compassionate support to empower residents in achieving their highest level of function

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • License as required by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
