Mesa is seeking an experienced (3 to 8 years) Design Engineer for the development of CAD based Power Utility - Substation P&C Design. This role will be heavily engaged in power energy substation related design in one of our nations fastest developing most well-funded initiatives in the country. The selected individual will be heavily engaged in engineering design in our nations fastest developing power substation arena. This opportunity is ideal for the junior-level engineer seeking an environment which will provide technical growth daily collaboration with subject matter expertise and sophisticated methods utilized in engineering design. Exposure to a wide range of P&C design experience will be available in this role and include both Greenfield and Brownfield design with voltages ranging from Distribution level up to and including 500kV. The long-range forecast for skilled professionals in this industry and their career opportunities with Mesa is excellent.

Responsibilities

  • Development of P&C Substation designs.
  • Collaborate with Standards Innovation and Design Teams to provide high quality engineered designs which are reliably constructable.
  • Gain expertise and assist others in the field of Power Delivery Substation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to utilize CAD software.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited)
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Customer Support acumen
  • Three (3) to eight (8) years of applicable experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing design standards
  • Experience developing P&C Design for Power Substations
  • Keen interest in learning and using the latest software tools methods and technologies to develop Power Substation design
