OTR rehab director responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the therapy department ensuring quality outcomes and team alignment

  • Supervise and support occupational therapists COTAs and other rehab team members

  • Oversee scheduling staffing and daily operations to ensure smooth delivery of care

  • Conduct assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans to improve residents function and independence

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet the holistic needs of each resident

  • Monitor progress adjust treatment plans as needed and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Foster a positive and productive work culture built on teamwork accountability and respect

  • Serve as a liaison with facility leadership and ensure integration of rehab into the broader care model

  • Maintain documentation standards and participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives

What were looking for in an OTR rehab director:

  • Licensed occupational therapist in the state of Wisconsin

  • Leadership experience in a skilled nursing or senior living setting preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal clinical and organizational skills

  • Passion for empowering older adults and leading high-performing teams

  • Ability to balance hands-on clinical work with administrative responsibilities

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a bachelors masters or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • License as required by the State of Wisconsin to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
