The Senior Analyst Royalties will be a key member of the Orthopaedics Royalties team. This individual will own a portfolio of royalty contracts between Stryker and Health Care Professionals (HCPs) within the Trauma and Extremities (T&E) division. This includes performing the month-end close process to prepare and post accrual entries for the T&E division as well as preparing balance sheet reconciliations for the respective accrual accounts. They will also be responsible for calculating payments and working with the high-risk payment team to ensure timely payments are made. Additionally this role will support cross-functional business partners and the Orthopaedics Controllers FP&A team with ad-hoc requests as needed.
What you will do:
Perform general ledger accounting operations for month-end close activities including posting journal entries and preparing reconciliations for T&E royalties
Calculate quarterly royalty payments prepare statements and partner with the high-risk payment team to process payments timely
Communicate directly with the third-party Health Care Providers (HCPs) by sending quarterly statements and answering any follow-up questions
Partner with tax team to assist with the preparation of quarterly tax forms related to royalties
Partner with Intellectual Property Legal Counsel Marketing & R&D teams on matters relating to royalty contracts
Perform ad-hoc analyses to support Business Partner needs and Orthopedics Controllers Group
Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure integrity and efficiency with a focus on automation
Provide general support for Orthopaedics Controllers group FP&A team as needed
Provide support on audit queries (external and internal)
Execute controls for owned processes (SOX)
Bachelors degree required
2 years experience in accounting and/or finance
Proficiency with Excel
Preferred:
Experience in cross-functional partnering
Experience with Oracle JDE Power BI
Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficiently
$69100 - $139600 salary plus bonus eligible benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on pay is based on skills experience and other relevant factors.
