Description

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time (32 hours per week) Multi- Property Sales & Marketing Executiveto join our Sales team looking after our properties in Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

The role can be based in either Aberdeen or Edinburgh and involves supporting the sales and marketing function for The Residence Inn By Marriott Edinburgh; The Residence Inn By Marriott Aberdeen and The Courtyard by Marriott Aberdeen.

Responsibilities

Sales Functions

  • Sales enquiry handling contracting and all customer correspondence through booking process
  • Update all internal systems (opera & marsha) with confirmed group bookings and manage meeting room diary
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Co-ordinate FAM trips and trade shows
  • Assist with Group & M&E RFPs via platforms such as Cvent Venue Directory
  • Understands the overall market and competitors in both markets

Social Media

  • Support facilitation of social media engagement all 3 hotels
  • Support updating content in local digital channels (e.g. hotel website travel sites)

Marketing

  • Develop and support sales & marketing plans relevant to each hotel
  • Assist with HWS campaigns and content for all 3 hotels

Requirements

Experience in trade shows and exhibitions is preferred.

Requires excellent communication skills both verbal and in English.

Must have a passion for Sales and self-motivated to achieve individual and team targets by maximizing revenue at every opportunity.

Great Customer Service Skills - Must enjoy guest interaction (phone email and in person) be able to anticipate guest needs handle objections and complaints whilst maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Must be able to maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to present and sell.

Essential Computer Skills - Knowledge of Opera is preferred Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint is essential.

Must be a Team Player Demonstrate experience of building positive working relationships and promoting team spirit.

Good background knowledge of Opera PMS and S& of computer accounting programs math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.

Extensive knowledge of sales/negotiatingskills.

Ability toanalyzedata set strategies and establish appropriate action plans.
