The Town of Bassendean is a small local government that sits along the Derbarl Yerrigan on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. About the Team
The Towns Childrens Services operates two quality Early Childhood Centres; Wind in the Willows. Wind in the Willows are places where childhood is cherished and children have a right to be heard. The dynamic and highly qualified team work respectfully and cohesively in the best interest of the children and the community.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated early childhood professional with leadership skills that inspire others to promote the highest quality practice. A self-motivated Teacher who will demonstrate high levels of teamwork ethics and a passion for upholding the rights of the child in accordance with the ECA code of ethics. Positivity honesty and an ability to build respectful reciprocal relationships with children families and each other are essential.
About You
The successful candidate will have ability to contribute effectively and positively to any changes being undertaken or implemented within the Centre. Ensure that childrens activity programmes are delivered within the required time meet the needs of all children attending the Centre and facilitate all areas of play-based learning.
Candidates willing and able to fulfil the duties of the Responsible Person to open and close the service will be highly regarded and considered for a full-time contract.
In addition to this the successful candidate will hold:
Tertiary qualifications in Education/Early Childhood.
Working with Children Check from Department for Child Protection & Family Support.
Willing to complete Responsible Person training

Salary and Benefits
This permanent part-time position attracts a salary of $82000 to $86500 per annum (pro-rata) dependent on qualifications and experience.
The Town also offers up to 4% additional superannuation (conditions apply) 17.5% leave loading free parking ongoing training and professional development and up to two additional leave days per calendar year.
Working Hours
The part-time position is 30 hours per week worked Monday to Friday. Our staff work on a rotating roster of the Centres operational hours 7am to 6pm
Candidates willing and able to fulfil the duties of the Responsible Person to open and close the service will be considered for a full-time contract 37.5 hours per week.
