POSITION SUMMARY
Our Project Manager (PM) is an integral member of the Professional Services team. They are the main point of contact for our clients project engagements. Much of their time is dedicated to managing project timelines expectations and resources. They bring a solid project management background combined with strong customer service experience to the benefit of our clients and team. They can effectively manage 30 to 40 projects at a time in various stages of delivery in an engaging and fast paced atmosphere.
WHAT DOES OUR PROJECT MANAGERS DO
Deliver projects that meet customer expectations on time and on budget.
Facilitate the project plan including project scope objectives risks assumptions roles and responsibilities work breakdown structure milestones and deliverables.
Manage the scope of the project changes to the project deliverables and scheduling issues while ensuring customer satisfaction profitability and technical compliance.
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of project status and deal with issues promptly and adequately.
Participation in weekly project related meetings.
Ensure project documentation/reporting is accurate and current to all stakeholders.
Provide the Professional Services Team Leader with a weekly summary of project statuses calling out Off track and early close projects.
Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
Service awareness of all organizations key IT services for which support is being provided.
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS I NEED TO HAVE
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years of direct work experience in project management
Completion or enrollment in Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Strong working knowledge of project management foundations including scope time risk HR communication and quality management.
Broad understanding of IT Network Environments
Strong organizational communication and customer service skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL PROJECT MANAGER
Patience empathy confidence and customer service skills. You will be working with a myriad of businesses technologies applications vendors and personalities.
Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
Understanding of managed services and the value offered over a typical break-fix environment.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills at all levels internally and externally interpersonal business management time management and developmental skills.
Skilled at defusing high-stress situations and facilitating resolution to technical problems.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Talented interpersonal abilities to build rapport with customers and teammates alike.
Self-starter with a positive attitude.
Strong sense of initiative and ownership over work.
Exceptional follow-through skills.
Ability to work effectively and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WOULD REALLY HELP SET ME APART FROM OTHER APPLICANTS
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
ITIL certification.
Associates degree or higher.
Understanding of and a background in working within the IT managed services provider business model particularly in an IT support role.
Experience with ConnectWise Kaseya or other similar MSP tools and software.
Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office 365 Microsoft Azure and other Cloud service offerings.
Flexibility in your schedule to handle the occasional non-business hours tasks.
An awareness of all our key IT services.
WHAT IS THE WORK ENVIRONMENT LIKE
Normal office working conditions. Work requires regular sitting/standing at a desk working with a computer. This position requires standing walking sitting using hands seeing reaching talking writing and hearing; it may require
occasionally carrying or lifting equipment (10-50 pounds) if working on-site.
Position may require hours that exceed normal working hours per day during peak periods; on-call hours may include nights or weekends.
Position requires contact with others - in meetings by phone or by email. Interactions focus on data collection problem solving needs analysis and technical work. Interactions are initiated in person or electronically.
