Job Description

Vinylmax is looking for a Shipping Lead for 2nd shift Priority given to internal candidates!

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee shipping tasks required to create satisfied customers internal and external.
  2. Produce work instruction manuals for the shipping process.
  3. Train new team members and oversee shipping dock
  4. Train and assist employees in the use of RF equipment and problem solve any issues that might arise.
  5. Oversee product movement across FeneVision platform
  6. Record accurate and proper information while maintaining the integrity of control numbers.
  7. Complete daily operational tasks using RF technology.
  8. Move products from production to trucks using carts.
  9. Organize carts in preparation for being loaded.
  10. Load materials onto trailers by hand in a safe and orderly manner. This includes ensuring that the load is sorted according to stop so that products can be delivered and unloaded efficiently. Review loading of the truck so that the weight is distributed appropriately the load is secure and the product does not get damaged during shipping.
  11. Visually inspect products for damage before loading and to ensure the correct windows are being shipped to the proper location.
  12. Inspect correct routing quantities and destination.
  13. Follow prescribed safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
  14. Verifies products to be shipped by comparing count to shipping list while noting discrepancies.
  15. Perform inventory of products before delivery.
  16. Responsible to report safety and quality issues to management.
  17. UPS LTL and truckload shipment preparation.

Education and Experience:
  1. Associates degree or equivalent experience
  2. 3 years in a warehouse supervision role
  3. Must be able to successfully use basic math writing computer and reading skills necessary to complete the required paperwork and projects.
Work Environment:
  1. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. repetitively.
  2. Must be able to handle large pieces of glass.
  3. Must be self-motivated and a team player.
  4. Able to operate necessary equipment for the position: hand jack telephone computer etc.
  5. Must be able to walk and remain on feet for extended periods of time.
