We are seeking a highly skilled Weekend Maintenance Technician to support our plant operations by maintaining repairing and optimizing manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting preventive maintenance and general facility upkeep. This role is crucial in ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency across our production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems on production equipment.
- Diagnose operational issues identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
- Safely install modify and upgrade plant equipment as required.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery reporting potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain and repair HVAC plumbing and general building infrastructure as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals to facilitate repairs.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) Hot Work and Electrical Safety Standards.
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Provide backup support to other Maintenance Technicians when required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Associate degree in a related field preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance manufacturing maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including troubleshooting motors gearboxes sensors switches pumps and conveyors.
- Experience working with 110V 208V and 460V three-phase electrical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting (programming experience is a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
- Knowledge of hydraulics pneumatics and welding is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds climb ladders and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools multimeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Must be flexible to work overtime weekends or on-call shifts as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Industrial Maintenance Electrical or HVAC is a plus.
- Experience in a food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
