Job Description
Were looking for a motivated and dependable Evening Line Cook to join our bistro team! This is an entry-level position- no experience necessary. Well provide on-site training to help you learn everything you need to know.
As our Line Cook youll be the solo chef during evening hours with support from a bartender managing the line independently. That means youll need to stay cool under pressure during peak times and be comfortable juggling multiple tickets are once. Attention to detail consistency and a passion for quality are key to success in this role.
Hours: 4:00PM to 11:00PM
Days: Tuesday-Friday with rotating weekends as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiently prepares food items as ordered.
- Exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices in to deliver a quality product.
- Weighs measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes.
- Reviews daily assignments with supervisor.
- Plans for anticipated demand throughout shift.
- Maintains cleanliness and working order of work area tools equipment and supplies.
- Prepares and maintains the line and par levels as required by the current menu.
- Keeps walk in cooler/freezer organized.
- May assist with inventory temp logs and waste logs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of food service regulations.
- Skillfully uses hand tools or machines needed for the position.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Able to lift carry or pull objects that may be heavy; able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to prioritize organize and manage multiple tasks.
