Job Description

rockITdata isseeking an experienced and driven Commercial Market Development Leader to join our rapidly growing AI Data and Analytics practice. This individual will be instrumental in identifying and securing new business opportunities with commercial sector clients. The ideal candidate brings a proven sales track record deep knowledge of AI/ML and data solutions and strong relationships with strategic technology partners such as AWS Snowflake and Databricks.

This role is ideal for a sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about helping clients transform their business through data-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development and revenue growth across AI machine learning and data analytics services.

  • Establish and expand relationships with strategic partners (e.g. AWS Snowflake Databricks) to drive joint go-to-market efforts.

  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities within targeted industries.

  • Lead end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop compelling proposals and solution architectures.

  • Represent rockITdata at industry events partner forums and client meetings.

  • Maintain and expand a robust pipeline aligned with quarterly and annual revenue targets.

  • Provide regular forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of B2B sales experience with a focus on technology services and solutions.

  • Demonstrated success selling AI machine learning data platforms or cloud analytics services.

  • Existing relationships with executives and sales teams at AWS Snowflake and/or Databricks.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed multi-million-dollar sales targets.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern data stack concepts.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling to mid-market and enterprise clients in highly regulated industries.

  • Understanding of data governance security and compliance frameworks.

  • Familiarity with enterprise software such as AWS Microsoft Google Snowflake and others.

  • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth technology services firm.
