Overview:
**This is a part time role candidate will work Monday and Tuesday 8a-630p **
We are passionate about integrating physical and behavioral health to champion the holistic wellbeing of children. With 1 in 7 children ages 05 experiencing behavioral health challenges that can affect development and school participation Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) programs are essential to best outcomes. Through our innovative ECMH programs we ensure families in Central Ohio have access to a full continuum of services that support healthy development prevent mental health concerns and treat disorders so young children can thrive. Training and ongoing competency development are provided and funded by the organization.
Job Description Summary:
Job Description:
- Evaluates patients with varied diagnoses to determine developmental or functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations. Identifies patients strengths and deficits establishes goals and develops an individualized treatment plan.
- Develops and administers therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay or functional deficits to provide optimal development function and independence. Utilizes developmental activities modalities and other treatment techniques to meet each patients specific needs and achieve therapy goals observes and modifies treatment plan accordingly.
- Fabricates recommends or provides adaptive equipment splints or casts to maintain functional body joint positions restrict muscle contractures prevent deformities and improve function or mobility. Fits patient and instructs on use of item.
- Educates on treatment goals and therapy plans instructs on therapeutic activities to follow at home and evaluates ongoing compliance and understanding.
- Documents as appropriate and in compliance with requirements of the hospital and accrediting associations. Maintains the administrative functions of individual caseload including scheduling entering daily charges and submitting timely documentation.
- Attends continuing education programs and participates in departmental in-service training programs to enhance professional development including participation in EBP.
- Conducts educational programs for hospital staff students and community. Delegates to students from accredited programs licensed and certified occupational therapy assistants and unlicensed personnel supervising care provided.
Education Requirement:
Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
Licensure Requirement:
State of Ohio Licensure in Occupational Therapy required.
Certifications:
- Registered (R) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy required.
- CPR certificationno later than 60 days post hire or post expiration required.

One year of occupational therapy work experience in a pediatric setting or clinical affiliation in area of pediatrics preferred.
