Your Role:
As a Data Engineer at CSAA Insurance Group you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports our innovative insurance solutions.
Your work:
Your expertise will ensure seamless data flow enabling the company to make informed decisions and enhance member experiences. Collaborating with cross-functional teams you will optimize data systems implement best practices and drive the evolution of our data architecture to meet the dynamic needs of our business and customers.
Required Experience
- A bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or a similar technical field or a comparable mix of education and practical experience
- 2-4 years professional experience
- Proven experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong understanding of data modeling ETL processes and data warehousing
- Proficiency in SQL and Cloud Data Platform like Snowflake or BigQuery
- experience with big data technologies such as EMR Glue Spark and/or Kafka
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud (AWS Preferred)
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles
- Excellent problem-solving troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

- Experience in one of CSAA IGs business lines a plus
- Fulfills business needs which may include investing extra time helping other teams etc.
- Travels as needed for role including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.
- Experience in writing complex SQL Queries.

The national average salary range for this position is $105345- $117050. However we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $94815 - $140550. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) of up to 8% of eligible pay.
