The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations and monthly financial close process. This position will report to Corporate Controller and collaborates closely with other members of the finance and operations teams. This role is ideal for someone with strong foundational accounting skills and a desire to grow within a dynamic high-growth company. Candidates with public accounting experience particularly in audit will bring valuable perspective and are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries including accruals prepaids and reclasses with appropriate supporting documentation
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
- Assist with monthly quarterly and year-end close procedures
- Support internal financial reporting and variance analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues validate financial data and improve accuracy
- Assist with external audit requests and preparation of PBC schedules
- Manage schedules for fixed assets intangible assets and capitalized software assets including calculation of depreciation and amortization
- Contribute to process improvements automation efforts and internal control enhancements
- Effectively manage numerous ad hoc projects and financial analysis in a fast-paced fluid environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of accounting experience; public accounting (audit) experience preferred
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with financial systems (e.g. NetSuite Intacct QuickBooks Online)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Preferred Experience:
- Public accounting (audit) experience
- SaaS or consulting industry experience
- Familiarity with ASC 606 ASC 350-40 and ASC 985-20

This is not a remote job! Must be located in Denver Metro Area.
Salary Range: $70000-80000
