Job Description
Be an integral part of an agile team thats constantly pushing the envelope to enhance build and deliver top-notch technology products.
As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Core & Foundational Platforms (CFP) specifically as a part of our Graph Managed Services Team you will play a crucial role in an agile environment. Your responsibilities will include improving developing and providing reliable high-quality technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Leveraging your profound technical knowledge and problem-solving skills you will have a substantial impact on the business and address a wide range of challenges across various technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks tools and practices of the SoftwareDevelopment Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Maintains the managed service environments; dev test and prod
- Adds to the team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on engineering infrastructure and software solutions concepts and proficient advanced 10 years experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Extensive experience in Python development
- Experience in Python frameworks - Django/Flask etc
- Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. Cloud Infrastructure As Code)
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g Ansible SaltStack)
- Experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
- Understanding the importance of great documentationand a passion for helping customers
- Experience with Graph database technologies
- CI/CD pipelines preferably includingJenkins and/or Spinnaker
- Experience with core servicesincluding Active Directory Kerberos andDNS
- Comfortable in setting and defining strategic priorities and working with product management
- Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
