The School of Nursing at Pepperdine University seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of assistant associate or full professor for its developing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Entry Level Masters Degree in Nursing (ELM) programs. Successful candidates should have an earned terminal degree (academic or clinical doctorate) and commitment to student success. Preferred qualifications include successful experience teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing students. As a new program we seek faculty in one or more of the following specialty areas: pathopharmacology adult medical/surgical pediatrics gerontology obstetrics behavioral/mental health community/population nursing and clinical foundations/reasoning. Clinical expertise in one of the specialty areas and/or simulation is preferred. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a clear and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California.
The BSN and ELM programs plan to enroll their first cohort of students in Fall 2025 (pending WSCUC and BRN approval). Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Regular full-time employment start date will be August 1 2025. Pending availability and need select faculty may be provided the opportunity to begin in June or July 2025 to ensure program readiness in August. Both programs are offered on Pepperdines Malibu and Calabasas campuses and all faculty appointments are in-person.
The BSN and ELM programs at Pepperdine University are pending approval by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College & University Commission (WSCUC)
All full-time faculty teaching in the nursing program must meet the required qualifications noted in the California Code of Regulations Title 16 Division 14 Article 31425 FacultyQualifications and Changes Section (c)to be hired.

This is a Full-Time Exempt 40 hour per week position.
Expected Pay Range: $100000 - $190000 per year
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience market conditions education/training and skill level. In addition to base pay Pepperdine offers a robust and highly competitivebenefits package.
