You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailIowa State Athletics is seeking candidates with a knack for public speaking an enjoyment in understanding and analyzing NCAA rules and policies and skilled at relationship building to join our team as an athletics specialist II to serve as an Assistant Director of Compliance. This position will assist the Compliance Office in ensuring coaches student-athletes staff former students and boosters are informed of and abide by NCAA Conference and institutional rules and regulations. The position will initially have the primary responsibility of overseeing rules education.
Examples of what youll do:
The ideal candidates will possess good knowledge of NCAA regulations and excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals and groups. The candidates will also need to have strong organizational skills be highly detail oriented and have the ability to research and analyze compliance related issues and NCAA legislation through the Legislative Services Database (LSDBi). This position requires a high level of integrity solid judgment and decision-making along with the ability to handle confidentiality multiple projects simultaneously and meet departmental deadlines.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.

Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals
Applies broad working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex difficult and varied problems and issues
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems
