Job Description

MSSU is seeking candidates for a Master Instructor Position in the Department of Language and Literature starting August 2024 in Joplin Missouri. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach English courses. Experience teaching professional and technical writing or English classes for secondary education majors are preferred as is experience administering internships. Specialization is open.
The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and advising at the undergraduate level. Master Instructors are responsible for fifteen credit hours of teaching each semester. A Ph.D. in English or a related field is preferred; however ABD candidates and those holding masters degrees will be considered.
