Description
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Analyzes blue prints schematics and drawings of plumbing systems to determine most efficient means of repair.
- Coordinates as required for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
- Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in plumbing systems for the purpose of identifying repair and/or replacement needs.
- Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations.
- Inspects buildings and facilities for the purpose of evaluating condition identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
- Installs plumbing systems and fixtures (e.g. hot water heaters drinking fountains etc.).
- Maintains vehicle tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status activity logs etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
- Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.
- Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Orders essential supplies materials and parts as necessary.
- Provides assistance to the other sections as may be required to continue service of various systems
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Required
- Valid journeyman plumbers license is preferred
Work Conditions:
- The job requires the following physical demands: significant lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling some climbing and balancing frequent stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
- The job is performed under some extreme temperatures and in a generally hazard-free environment.
