Job Description
Since 2016 T-Rex Solutions (T-Rex) has been supporting large scale hybrid-cloud migrations and systems modernization to include the successful deployment of the first-ever online U.S. Census in 2020. T-Rex is actively expanding its IT Modernization services within the Federal Civilian market specifically supporting the IRSs strategic priorities.
T-Rex is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to support the migration of on-premise servers and infrastructure to Azure for the IRS. All work is performed on-site in Washington DC.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design implementation and management of secure cloud architectures in an Azure environment.
- Utilize extensive system administration experience to ensure seamless operations and high availability of cloud O365 and Azure VDI services.
- Apply security administration expertise to manage identity and access management (IAM) implement network security policies and monitor compliance with security frameworks.
- Leverage scripting skills (e.g. Python Bash PowerShell) to automate tasks enhance system efficiencies and orchestrate complex workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of related professional experience
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must posses a Secret Clearance or higher or be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance
- Strong foundation in system and security administration including experience with both Linux and Windows environments.
- Demonstrable experience in scripting and automation with languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of cloud services architecture and hands-on experience with Azure.
- Experience with security best practices policies and regulatory compliance (e.g. NIST ISO 27001 GDPR HIPAA).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage complex cross-platform integrations.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and changing priorities
- Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be punctual reliable and accountable for themselves with ability to follow through with tasks to completion
Desired Education & Experience:
- Experience in system and application hardening vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Relevant security certifications preferred.
- Experience working in an agile environment preferred

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines the annual base salary range for this position is $115000 - $140000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
