Job Description
We are seeking an outstanding Welder/Sheetmetal Fabricator. The desired applicant will have a solid foundation of sheet metal fabrication and welding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Without supervision during the work period weld Stainless steel Steel and some Aluminum.
Some precision welding may be needed on highly complex parts.
Must be able to read prints perform complex dimensional calculations.
Operator will load unload and inspect assemblies.
Operator will be responsible for quality of the parts being produced and for achieving production standards.
Position will require de-burring and polishing parts.
Operator to report any equipment problems and perform equipment maintenance.
Must understand and follow documented operator and set-up procedures.
There will be occasional weekend work and evening factory call ins.
On occasion must be able to perform work in cleanroom factory and work in clean room suit.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Must work well in a Machine shop environment.
Must have a good background of sheet metal fabrication and welding practices.
Must have a creative mind to produce functional designs based on customer requirements.
Responsible for area housekeeping including cleaning removing scrap from the machine moving material and parts as necessary. Follow our 5s program.
Standards for efficiency should be 98% or better. Scrap rates should be under 1%.
Must be able to use all standard measurement tools to determine part quality. Must be able to calculate slopes and angles and perform complex inspection setups.
Setup and operate Press Brake Hydraulic metal shear and Strippitt punch press.
TIG weld all types of metals mainly stainless and some aluminum.
