Sentara Health is seeking a flexi/PRN day shift Monitor Tech for Telemetry Monitor Surveillance at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg VA.
Overview
Observes recognizes interprets evaluates and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patients norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.
Education
High School Diploma and completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course.
OR
High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in monitor technician surveillance/EKG monitoring within the last 5 years will be accepted in substitute of a monitor tech surveillance program/ who have not completed a monitor technician surveillance program must complete a certificate program within 90 days of hire.
To be released from new employee orientation all Monitor Technicians must successfully complete the Sentara Basic Arrhythmia competency tool which includes passing a basic arrhythmia exam.
Experience
1 year experience in monitor technician surveillance within the last 5 years will be accepted in substitute of a monitor tech surveillance program/course.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$16.08 - $24.12.
