Job Description
Facility: Saint Marys Hospital (SMHP)
Address: 350 Boulevard Passaic NJ 07055
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3:00 PM 10:00 PM (M-F)
Pay Rate: $64/hr (W2) $68/hr (1099)
Experience Requirement: Minimum of 1 year perioperative experience
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting using the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation.
- Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
- Oversee and guide surgical techs and other OR support personnel.
- Deliver care across a diverse patient population including neonates pediatrics adolescents adults and geriatrics.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital unit and regulatory policies.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives unit meetings and educational in-services.
- Maintain OR safety equipment handling and sterile technique.
- Serve as a resource to other nursing personnel as needed.
- Current and valid New Jersey RN license
- BLS certification (AHA) Required upon hire
- ACLS certification (AHA) Required within 30 days of hire
- PALS certification (AHA) Required within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of perioperative (OR) nursing experience or equivalent on-the-job training
- CNOR certification (AORN) Preferred
- BSN degree Preferred
- Experience in pre- and post-operative care Preferred
