Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Lead ICE Engineer to join our Calgary-based team. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a strong background in instrumentation control systems and electrical engineering particularly within industrial energy or infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will lead multi-disciplinary teams manage project execution and ensure the highest standards of technical integrity and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development and implementation of instrumentation control systems and electrical solutions for complex projects.
- Manage a team of engineers and designers; provide mentorship and ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
- Oversee preparation of engineering deliverables including SLDs P&IDs I/O lists control narratives MCC layouts panel designs and instrumentation datasheets.
- Perform or review detailed calculations for electrical load studies cable sizing grounding lighting and power distribution.
- Interface with clients vendors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
- Develop and manage project schedules budgets and resource planning for the ICE discipline.
- Participate in HAZOPs design reviews and factory/site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT).
- Support business development including proposal writing estimates and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; . designation in Alberta required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in instrumentation controls and electrical design with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior project role.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g. CSA IEEE NEC API ISA).
- Proficient in software such as AutoCAD ETAP SKM and control system platforms (e.g. PLCs DCS SCADA).
- Demonstrated experience with industrial projects in sectors such as oil & gas water/wastewater or manufacturing.
- Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities: The Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: Attend site meetings Serve as main point of contact for the builder for any project-related questions/requests Understand project specifications and objectives Proactively identify potential issues Report on milestone dates and deliverables Respond to field issues and questions with engineering and other resources as required Investigate claims promptly and resolve them fairly Proactive approach to change orders Support and engage in a collaborative work environment Liaise with Architect, Client, Contractor, Owner, Specialty Consultants, Project Manager, Job Captain and Project Engineer Complete time critical reports including Request for Information, Contemplated Revisions, Change Orders, Field Review, Pricing Review, Progress Claim Review Issue and sign off on Site Deficiency Reports, verify and accept As Built Drawings and Operational and Maintenance Manuals and ensure all require
