Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Geotechnical Engineer II to join our well established and growing Environmental Remediation practice in New England. The job responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
- Serves as project engineer on mid- to large size projects.
- Provides geotechnical expertise for studies and design efforts.
- Provides oversight and/or direction for geotechnical field investigations.
- Develops complex technical solutions for clients.
- Depending on level of experience performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Participates in development of technical proposals.
- Develops technical skills in the area of geotechnical regulatory planning design and construction phase projects.
- Coordinate with diverse project teams.
- Depending on level of experience may serve as a project manager and attend client meetings.
- Work with Senior Leaders to grow the regional Geotechnical practice.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in Geotechnical Civil Marine or Environmental Engineering or related field 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid U.S Drivers License and as a condition of employment must pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records Review
- Ability to travel to client sites and regulatory agencies
- Due to the nature of work U.S. Citizenship is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree in Geotechnical Civil Marine or Environmental Engineering
- 3 years of related project experience in Civil Geotechnical Marine or Environmental Remediation Engineering design or construction projects.
- PE or ability to obtain PE within 1 year
- Progressive engineering and project management experience.
- Experience with Civil and/or Geotechnical Design Software
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification.
- Experience and confidence to work independently to produce high quality deliverables on time and on budget.
