SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The PortIntermodal WarehouseManager overseesoperations at our intermodal warehouse facility. This leadership role manages daily logistics ensures safety compliance and drives operational efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate has over five years of warehouse or intermodal experience strong team leadership and proficiency in logistics software and warehouse equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational involvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving storage inventory control and shipping.
- Lead train and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain high performance and safety standards.
- Coordinate with procurement logistics and production teams to ensure timely material flow.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize warehouse layout and processes.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of warehouse management experience or intermodal experience.
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management Logistics Business Administration or related field (preferred).
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams.
Software Proficiency:
- Microsoft Office (advanced) Power BI or Tableau (reporting)
Tools & Machinery Skills:
- Forklift operation (certification preferred)
- Pallet jacks and hydraulic lifts
- Handheld scanners and barcode systems
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and leadership
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Adaptability and time management
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
- Conflict resolution and team motivation
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of Wearhouse and Logistics.
- Experience working in the stevedore industry.
