You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWise Assets Europe AS is looking for a Financial Crime Oversight Specialist to join its compliance function in Tallinn. This role will be working alongside the MLRO of Wise Assets Europe in a small but highly effective team in second line compliance.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the effective mitigation of financial crime risks through the maintenance of adequate systems and controls.
Key Responsibilities
FinCrime related data collection monitoring reporting and challenging for both internal and external reporting purposes;
Review and analysis of compliance tickets;
Horizon scanning and gap analysis of regulatory changes;
Regulatory obligations mapping;
FinCrime Risk Assessment related tasks (review of issues and quarterly assessments);
Oversight of High Risk Customers;
Oversight of PEP customers.
Qualifications :
Theory
You have (working) knowledge about the relevant applicable European and Estonian regulations and may be currently working or have worked within the area of financial crime prevention as 1LOD or 2LOD preferably in a fast paced environment
Practice
You have a demonstrable experience of analysing information (preferably related to financial crime).
You have at least a Bachelors degree and impeccable professional reputation.
You have a demonstrated track record of independence and challenge/escalation where concerns are felt.
Passion You are curious and proactive by nature you love solving puzzles and you get a kick out of figuring things out and enjoy expressing your thoughts concisely and logically.
Communication You are a comfortable and effective communicator in both your writing and speaking. You can convey complex ideas effectively to both internal and external audiences.
Get the job done. You have a sense of urgency and an ability to work well under pressure prioritising taking responsibility and working to tight deadlines.
Detail. You have meticulous attention to detail and if youve skimmed through without reading this bullet point Im sure a bank would love to have you.
Team player. You have great people skills and can effectively and efficiently collaborate build relationships with colleagues throughout the business and across the globe.
Languages: Fluency in English is a requirement fluency in Estonian is an advantage.
Travel. You must be willing to travel to our other offices as required (once per quarter)
Location: Tallinn. Youre located and legally authorised to work in Estonia.
