Were looking for you if:
- Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming
- Experience with Spring Boot and JPA - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes / OpenShift)
- Understanding of observability tools (Grafana Prometheus Elasticsearch)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Youll get extra points for:
- Experience in financial services or banking
- Familiarity with microservices and hexagonal architecture
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python Bash)
- Exposure to Kafka Oracle DB .NET
- Experience with security tools (OWASP SonarQube Checkmarx)
- Performance testing tools (Gatling JMeter k6s)
- Experience with IT risk practices (change management resiliency)
- Appetite to automate everything
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality efficient and secure code
- Lead development efforts and mentor team members
- Ensure system availability performance and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Promote best practices and reduce technical debt
- Take ownership of assigned systems and services in production
- Participate in out-of-hours support when required
Information about the team:
Youll join a multi-disciplinary engineering team at ING that works according to Agile and DevOps principles. While Scrum is our primary methodology we remain flexible and open to other agile approaches like Kanban. Youll be part of a matrix organization working within a squad and contributing to a chapter (an expertise-focused group) as well as guilds and communities that foster knowledge sharing and innovation. Our team is focused on delivering robust scalable and secure solutions that support key banking systems and drive digital transformation.
The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be Engineer III.
