The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is dedicated to providing a safe high-quality and efficient transportation system for the State of Wyoming. We are currently seeking a full-time Engineer I to join our team in Rock Springs Wyoming.
Rock Springs the fifth-largest city in Wyoming offers a vibrant community and a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including fishing biking hiking golfing and access to the nearby Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. The city proudly celebrates its diverse heritage each summer during International Day a festival that features food costumes and traditions from the many cultures that helped shape the town.Rock Springs is also home to Western Wyoming Community College and hosts Wyomings Big Show a popular annual carnival and fair. As an Engineer in Construction this position is responsible for but not limited to performing tasks for highway projects from inception through design construction and contract completion under the direction of the Resident Engineer.This position offers:

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Temporary employees accepting a full-time position.
Current employees accepting a promotional opportunity - recruitment must have been opened to the public.
One year of service to WYDOT must be completed failure to complete this requirement will forfeit the hiring incentive and funds will be recouped from final pay.
Internal candidates would be required to remain in the position for a minimum of one (1) year from their promotion date.
Employees would only be eligible for one (1) hiring bonus in a 12-month period.
If the employee elects to downgrade through an active recruitment and/or appointment during the twelve (12) month period they would be required to pay the bonus back.
