Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will help ensure that all equipment systems and facilities are in proper working condition. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities technical skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshoot repair and replace defective components including electrical mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and increase equipment lifespan.
  • Diagnose issues quickly and accurately recommending solutions to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs maintenance activities and inventory usage.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment or systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and relevant regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with team members contractors and vendors to ensure efficient and timely repairs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC PLC systems and building automation is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects climb ladders and perform physical tasks.
  • Flexibility to work shifts weekends or respond to on-call duties as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in a variety of conditions including indoor outdoor hot cold and noisy environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand walk or kneel for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work shifts weekends or respond to on-call duties as needed.
