Responsibilities:
Uses machine tools to make or modify parts that conform to specifications and/or tolerances.
Working from blueprints process sheets sketches and engineering specifications settles assignment plans layout sequence of operations and necessary tool adjustments required for operating and programming various types of manual and computerized machine shop equipment.
Determines material parts and equipment required.
Performs production prototyping and/or new product introduction tasks which may include: cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions conventional and CNC milling turning grinding wire EDM and fixture design.
Conducts in-process inspection of machined parts against specified tolerances.
May communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification in mold making tool and die or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold making or related manufacturing fields.
- Strong understanding of mold design principles materials and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks) for designing molds.
- Experience with both manual and CNC machining techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and techniques for mold making.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least May 26 2025 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $30.08 - $47.00/hr plus eligibility for bonus stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
