Job Description
Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess an Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Successful completion of PICC insertion program
Minimum of 6 months PICC insertion experience
American Heart Association Basic Life Support
American Heart Association ACLS preferred

Department/Unit Summary
The Vascular Access Nurse at Sovah Health Danville is responsible for inserting troubleshooting and assessing vascular access devices such as PICC lines midlines and ultrasound guided peripheral IVs. The Vascular Access nurse is responsible for coordinating with physicians and nurses to ensure that patients receive the appropriate access based on clinical indications and best practice.
