Job Description
Pharmacy Operations Manager - 6 month contract
The Position
We are seeking a Pharmacy Operations Manager to cover a 6-month maternity cover contract commencing in the middle of August 2025. The position will oversee the pharmacy operations of both the hospital and community operations across Australia. This position will report through to the Chief Operations Officer Ramsay Pharmacy & Psychology with the Pharmacy Area Managers reporting through to this position. There are approximately 1300 indirect reports working in over 100 different sites which include both the community franchisee pharmacies and hospital dispensary locations.
This position will be responsible for working closely with the Area Managers to achieve the following KPIs:
- Revenue as per budget
- Achievement of pharmacy personnel costs budget
- Net promoter score >85
- Employee Engagement Survey >80% Completion
- Mandatory Training Compliance 80% Complete & 0% never completed
- Compliance to preferred wholesaler & brand >80%
- Incident Management Response
- Achievement against priorities for FY26
- Hospital
- Medication Management Profiles & Discharge Medication Summaries targets achieved
- Hospital Executive Engagement
- Delivery of Annual CQI program
- Community
- Completion of monthly Franchisee reports
- 8CPA participation and service targets met
The Person
The successful applicant will be a qualified Pharmacist or have extensive experience in the pharmacy sector. Offering at least five years senior leadership experience the successful candidate will be highly skilled in budget management (both setting and achieving) delivering strategic plans strong operations expertise and broad people leadership experience. The successful applicant will also have advanced organisational and communication skills together with the ability to create positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Location and Travel
The office for this position can be located in any State and will be discussed in more detail at interview. There will be a need to travel frequently to meet the needs of the business.
