The Pennsylvania Treasury Department is an independent agency led by the elected State Treasurer and one of the largest state treasuries in the country serving as custodian of more than $150 billion. Treasury plays a critical role in state government operations acting as the custodian investor and disburser of funds for nearly all state agencies. As a Fiscal Examiner I you will focus primarily on auditing expenditure transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures and ensure critical pay dates are met. You will be required to follow and complete an audit checklist to determine legality and correctness analyze supporting documentation and note pertinent or significant information in corresponding databases. In this position you will be responsible for determining the processing order of your assigned items based on due date age and if additional reviews are required. At times it will be necessary for you to correspond with auditee resource accounts when additional information is required to complete the audit.
