Job Description
Saint Josephs College of Maine invites applications for the position of Assistant Womens Basketball Coach!
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- The Assistant Womens Basketball Coach will have strong communication skills have a passion for Division III athletics/student-athletes and a belief in the Division III philosophy.
- The coach will be committed to program development and the overall development of Saint Josephs College student-athletes.
- The coach will be responsible for assisting with themanagement and administration of the program i.e - recruiting student-athletes who meet Saint Josephs College admissions standards scheduling conditioning scouting practice planning and budget preparation.
- The coach will also assist the Head Coach with various duties including: conducting small group workouts scouting opponents data entry recruiting camps/clinics and travel logistics.
- The coach will maintain full compliance with Saint Josephs College NCAA and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
- If job duties require driving a College vehicle a valid drivers license successful completion of SJC driver training program and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record check must be completed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level or a comparable competitive environment
- National coaching certification (sport specific or equivalent) preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification required
