License/Certification/Registration: *Licensed as LGSW LAMFT or licensure eligibility to provide clinical mental health services under supervision in the State of Minnesota. Pursuing independent licensure in Minnesota (LMFT LICSW LPCC or LP) and complete independent licensure within 3 years of employment required. *BLS required
Education: *Masters degree from an accredited counseling social work or marriage and family therapy program.
Experience: *One year work experience providing counseling in a health care or related pediatric setting preferred *Two or more years of work experience in a pediatric-related setting preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Curiosity and willingness to develop clinical skills toward the ability to exercise independent judgement and work autonomously. *Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinic or hospital environment. *Exhibits a high degree of professionalism strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively. *Ability to assess and provide intervention services to children and adolescents in acute crisis / experiencing suicidal ideation. *Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
