The Airport Project Administrator supports the Business and Revenue division by assisting with project execution and coordination. This role is responsible for providing direct support to project managers including maintaining and tracking the master project schedule coordinating and documenting meetings and managing project intake and closeout processes. This position will help facilitate the design and construction processes and serve as a liaison to communicate construction impacts to internal stakeholders and revenue-generating business partners.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct administrative and operational support to project managers within the Business and Revenue division as assigned by the Senior Business & Revenue Project Manager.
Develop update and maintain project schedules ensuring accurate tracking of key milestones and deadlines.
Prepare meeting agendas document meeting notes and monitor and follow up on assigned action items to ensure timely completion.
Support the coordination and oversight of design and construction activities including stakeholder engagement and compliance with timelines.
Administer project intake and closeout workflows including documentation and reporting requirements.
Disseminate construction impact information to relevant business and revenue stakeholders to support operational continuity and transparency.
Assist in preparing and distributing performance reports schedules and updates as required by management.
Use project management tools and systems to track progress and manage documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. operations contracts inspections) and external consultants or contractors as needed.
Assist with Business and Revenue projects as needed.
General Information:
Standard office hours apply however schedule subject to irregular hours overtime and emergency call backs to work.
Valid drivers license in state of residency and ability to obtain and maintain a City Driving Permit
Ability to pass a background check in advance of start date required. Certain convictions will disqualify individuals from unescorted access privileges and therefore exclude from employment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate (or equivalent) and nine (9) years of relevant experience 2-year college degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience Bachelors level degree and five (5) years of relevant experience or a Masters level degree and three (3) years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience preferred in business administration or project management.

Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: sitting standing grasping stooping squatting kneeling crouching reaching pushing talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.
Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining a physical condition necessary for sitting standing or walking for periods of time
Light lifting and carrying; some crouching stooping squatting reaching pushing and pulling when performing tasks
Adequate vision hearing and speech required
Sensory Requirements:
Concentrated and attentive use of one or more senses (visual audio and other sensory modalities) for proof reading data entry tabulating data facilitating meetings
Ability to operate in an environment with frequent interruptions from people and noises which in return could result in levels of stress fatigue or strain
Comprehension of written information in work related documents
Ability to hear understand and distinguish speech
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
The Citys Background Check Policy requires background checks to be conducted on final internal or external candidate(s) applying for any position with the City of Charlotte.
