Job Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires extensive experience leading multi-million dollar mechanical construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time within budget and meet quality and safety standards. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with clients engineers subcontractors and internal teams to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning scheduling and execution for mechanical construction projects.
  • Manage project budgets contracts and financial performance.
  • Coordinate with clients vendors and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
  • Provide technical advice to both clients and employees working on assigned project.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations safety standards and company policies.
  • Ensures accurate and timely project documentation including but not limited to RFIs submittals schedule updates time records supplemental work orders change order pricing and general project correspondence.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams; Monitor all work performed on assigned project.
  • Conduct regular meetings to track progress and address challenges.
  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project management processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Construction Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing mechanical and plumbing contracts valued at $25 Million.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC piping plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Autodesk Construction Cloud MS Project).
  • Excellent leadership written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.

Work Environment

  • Project site based.
  • Interaction with clients engineers and construction teams.
  • Fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit see talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects tools or controls. The employee is regularly required to walk reach with hands and arms climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to commute to field locations. The employee must have the ability to navigate around job site locations.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This is a full time position based in Austin TX with travel to jobsite locations as required.
