Painter -Full-time
Monday through Friday
8am-5pm occasional weekend work as needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:
- Follow all Maintenance Department policies and procedures.
- Applies paints sealers and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster sheetrock concrete EFIS/STOstucco andwood.
- Performs building exterior and interior caulking finish repair mud and tape and texturing tasks.
- Operates equipment such as airless spray equipment scaffolding and motorized lifts.
- Uses mechanized high-reach equipment to renew caulking on exterior building panel seams windows and doors.
- Performs special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation staining and sealing.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs minor plaster repair blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster.
- Surveys building painting project sites to estimate time and material quantities required; selects appropriate surface coatings.
- Maintain databases as instructed and keep inventory control of paint and associated materials in stock.
- Work with contract painters to ensure Well-Spring standards are known.
- Ensure that necessary paint and associated materials are kept on hand.
- Assist in moving furniture equipment and supplies as needed.
- Assist with any maintenance grounds or other duties in instances of absence or shortage of staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor Director of Facility Services or their designee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Read speak and understand the English language workorders are typically entered and accessed through our online WorxHub on a tablet or phone app.
- Valid North Carolina drivers license or other valid state issued drivers license with ability to obtain a valid North Carolina within 90 days of employment in order to operate company vehicles and golf carts.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving items such as ladders or stools without assistance and above 50lbs with mechanical lifts or assistance.
- Be self-driven and motivated to achieve a very high level of excellence
- Capable of long periods of standing continuously to work.
- Capable of working on areas higher than ones head or at floor level. Work involves climbing/standing/ working on stepstools and/or ladders up to 36 feet in a safe manner.
