TITLE: Environmental Health Safety & Security Lead
LOCATION: Idaho Falls ID
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager - Idaho Falls

As theEnvironmental Health Safety & Security Lead will be responsible for continuous improvement in the environmental health safety and security culture for the assigned Potato Network region. This will be done by improving the levels of safety awareness regulatory compliance and security through the leadership of strong involvement heighten awareness accountability and best practices.
What will you do
Program Implementation & Compliance
Supports the implementation and maintenance of EHSS programs in alignment with federal state and local regulations as well as Ingredions corporate standards under the guidance of the Regional EHSS Manager.
Site Safety & Environmental Oversight
Administers site safety and environmental compliance including air water sewer and stormwater regulations. Leads safety improvement initiatives and ensures adherence to security protocols in line with the Food Safety Act.
Incident Management & Reporting
Reports and investigates incidents and injuries promptly enters data into the EHSS system and follows up with corrective and preventive actions.
Training & Engagement
Conducts EHSS training (classroom and CBTs) leads safety observation programs and fosters employee engagement through the site safety committee and other initiatives.
Documentation & Auditing
Manages EHSS documentation audits and record retention. Ensures compliance with Workers Compensation laws and maintains accurate records of all EHSS activities.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Tracks and reports progress on EHSS metrics identifies deviations and implements countermeasures to support continuous improvement and company goals.
Leadership & Communication
Demonstrates influential leadership strong communication and employee relations skills. Builds trust across all levels of the organization and drives a culture of safety and accountability.
What you will bring:
Educational Background & Experience
A bachelors degree in industrial health environmental science or a related field is preferred; however equivalent EHS experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of a high school diploma is acceptable.
EHS Knowledge & Technical Skills
Solid understanding of safety health and environmental practices with additional knowledge in medical response fire prevention and security defense considered a plus.
Analytical & Investigative Abilities
Strong problem-solving skills and effective root cause analysis techniques to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
Communication & Presentation Skills
Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities with the capacity to clearly convey safety information and engage diverse audiences.

$67520.00-$90026.67 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
