The Department of Corrections (DOC) Human Resource (HR) Office for Region 4 the State Correctional Institutions (SCI) at Somerset & Laurel Highlands is looking for a detail oriented Human Resource Analyst 1! This position provides professional level support within the DOC HR office with a primary focus on employee relations functions as well as time advising for SCI Laurel Highlands. Responsibilities will involve providing guidance and support to facility managers and supervisors in all aspects of employee relations. You will also provide assistance and support to regional Employee Relations Manager (ERM). This includes gathering and reviewing incident investigative material; advising supervisors in the development of disciplinary changes; and gathering and analyzing information from reports statements and other documentation.
Our team will rely on you to prepare detailed recommendations of appropriate courses of action for ERMs and Field Human Resource Officers (FHRO). You will also be expected to evaluate grievances; review interpret and apply policies procedures collective bargaining agreements and directives relating to assigned tasks; and seek guidance as needed.
